JLR adopts Leaselink platform for public sector fleet sales

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) UK has selected Ebbon-Dacs’ e-procurement platform, Leaselink, to handle direct sales to fleet operators in the public sector.

Ebbon-Dacs’ Model management software will also be used to automate and manage associated vehicle movements, from delivery to collection.

JLR’s direct sales department is responsible for vehicles sales to police, fire and ambulance fleets.

Leased vehicles are supplied via a panel of 12 leasing companies, and fleet decision-makers can access a central portal that allows them to generate quotations for new vehicles. The quotes then go through a competitive tendering process.

The company is an approved supplier under the terms of the Crown Commercial Services framework agreement, supporting public sector investment with a variety of incentives including reduced administration fees.

Claire Watson-Brown, national public sector manager for JLR, said: “I am confident the leasing companies on and off the framework will recognise and welcome the benefits of our switch to Leaselink. The improvements that are possible when all parties share a common platform mean that we are putting our customers’ needs first.”

Justine Hawkins, head of commercial for Ebbon-Dacs, said: “We are delighted that Jaguar Land Rover UK has selected both our Leaselink and Model solutions to handle all direct sales to public sector fleet customers.  Jaguar Land Rover UK has identified some significant benefits in using our market-leading solutions which will support key business objectives now and in the future.”
